MY STORY · STILL BEING WRITTEN
I’m interested in becoming more myself.
Not a cleaner, more acceptable version. The full version—the athlete, builder, country boy, husband, dad, creative mind, and spiritual human underneath all of it.

ABOUT KEITH
Built through the work.
Freed by the living.
I’m Coach Keith—owner of ObstaCourse Fitness, an NPC Men’s Physique athlete, husband, father of three, and the creative mind behind a growing collection of ideas and brands.
I started lifting around 13 and was obsessed with bodybuilding as a teenager. At 15, a serious motorcycle accident changed everything. I couldn’t walk for a year, went through another surgery, and then spent another year unable to walk. Fitness became something I did here and there, but the passion I had before the accident was interrupted.
By my mid-20s, I was married, starting a family, and had reached 220 pounds—the heaviest I had ever been. In 2012, while trying to support three kids and make an art career work, I stopped taking care of myself and ended up in a bad place. A job at a boot camp in 2013 brought me back to strength and conditioning, then obstacle course racing, and eventually opening ObstaCourse Fitness in 2017.
After the pandemic, the energy I once had for obstacle course racing began to fade. At the same time, I was learning how nutrition could change the body. In 2022, at 44, I hired my first bodybuilding coach and entered Men’s Physique. I was immediately hooked. Bodybuilding wasn’t a new passion—it was a return to the one I had before the accident.
In 2025, I won Masters 45+ and Open Class D at the Samson “Ace of Stage.” Now I’m building my best physique and chasing an IFBB Pro Card—using everything I learn about training, nutrition, supplementation, posing, and preparation to keep improving myself and help my clients do the same.
But the gym is only one part of me. I’m a country boy at heart living in the suburbs. I feel most at home near water, warm weather, trees, mountains, sand, and fresh air. Give me board shorts, an open linen shirt, music, a lake, a beach, or a mountain town and I’m good.
I’m also deeply interested in energy, healing, manifestation, and the inner work of becoming more honest about who I am. The more I stop trying to fit the version people expect, the more creative, useful, and alive I feel.

THE LIFE OUTSIDE THE WORK
Family. Water. Mountains. Laughter.
I love what I’m building, but I don’t want to miss the life around it. Chrissy, my kids, my family, my friends, travel, music, outdoor adventures, and the moments that make me laugh are not separate from the mission. They are the reason to build it.
